Description

The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service, Aberdeen, South Dakota, intends to award a sole-source award to Johnson Controls, Inc. to maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair the Building Automation System installed at the Kyle Health Center, Kyle, South Dakota and the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital, Pine Ridge, South Dakota.



Johnson Controls, Inc. installed the Building Automation Systems when the buildings were constructed. Since they are the manufacturer, they have proprietary service to maintain the system. Replacing the systems are cost prohibitive. The resultant contract award Period of Performance shall be Date of Award with Four Option Years.





The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1)) was approved on 8/2/2023.
