Description

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.3 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Omaha District, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to State of South Dakota Department of Education, 700 Governors Dr, Pierre, South Dakota 57501. The purpose of this acquisition is for a non-personal services contract to provide archaeological services.



The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 3204(a)(1) or 41 U.S.C 3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements



A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 541720, Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities. Size standard $28M as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS.



Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written responses are received by 2pm CDT on 19 May 2023, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
