Description

The 28th Contracting Squadron Ellsworth AFB, SD has awarded a sole source contract to South Dakota Ellsworth Development Authority (SDEDA).



APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY:



The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this acquisition is the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. FAR 13.501(a) justifies limiting the source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The attached sole source justification, outlines the Contracting Officers justification and reasoning to award a sole source award to SDEDA.



This is a Sole Source Justification supporting the awarding of a Blanket Purchase Agreement to SDEDA at Ellsworth AFB, SD. No other businesses with active SAM registration within the immediate commuting area around Ellsworth AFB were found that are capable of fulfilling the requirement set forth by the SOW.
